News & Updates

We are expanding our reach in North Suffolk in order to bridge the nutrition gap by creating greater access to food goods!

Suffolk Christian Fellowship Center will launch our off-site 2nd Shift Program in partnership with the North Suffolk Public Library on January 2, 2024 from 5:00-6:30pm! As an extension of our home-site 2nd Shift Program, this distribution will run every 1st Tuesday during the mentioned hours as an effort to assist working families in need.

(Please note that these distributions will run simultaneously. We are not replacing our existing distribution with the North Suffolk distribution.)

Giving Tuesday

It’s Giving Tuesday! For all of our virtual supporters who wish to donate to our mission, we have the option of giving via PayPal!

When asked why people should support Suffolk Christian Fellowship Center, our Chief Operating Officer, Lorna Slaughter, said:

“We look to this community to continue, not just to begin, because this community has supported us in so many ways and for so long. We’re just asking the community to understand that there’s still a high demand for people that are in need of help with food security. Food security is very real and it’s very prevalent in our community and the surrounding communities. And, in order for us to be able to continue to meet demand and really, genuinely, help people, we really really need to work together. We need everybody to play a part – and there’s a part for everyone to play.” - Quote from Suffolk News Herald
